Poultney Industrial 1882

     Poultney is a small town located in the Southwestern section of Vermont. The Poultney Industrial Society had their first annual fair on Oct. 3 & 4, 1877.  So here it is....a jug made five years later commemorating this very important event in Poultney's history!!!

     Here is a neat Postal Card dated February 6th, 1878 with a Star-In-Circle cancel as well as a Poultney Vt. cancel.  On the reverse is an invitation for The Poultney Industrial Society winter meeting on February 13th and 14th.
